Ajmal Kasab:
Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist Ajmal Kasab, who
was hanged, early Wednesday morning at the Yerwada jail in Pune, did not last
wish & left no will. Kasab last words before he was executed were – “Forgive
me Allah!”
According to the jailer Yerwada, Kasab, the
only surviving terrorist involved in the Mumbai attacks in November 2008, was
very ashamed of his role in the dastardly terrorist attack. The jailer said
that Kasab has asked for forgiveness & said: “I swear Allah does not
forgive such a mistake. Forgive me Allah!”
Maharashtra Home Department confirmed
Wednesday that 26th November Mumbai terror attack convict Ajmal Kasab was
hanged in the prison 7:30AM Yerwada Pune. President Pranab Mukherjee had
rejected his request pity on November 5, & Interior Minister Sushil Kumar
Shinde has signed on 7 November. The order was then signed by the Government of
Maharashtra on November 8, said Interior Minister
"His performance is a tribute to the
victims of 26th November attacks," said Interior Minister of Maharashtra,
RR Patil. CM Prithviraj Chavan told CNN-IBN that Kasab was moved out of Arthur
Road Jail Mumbai to Pune Yerwada jail 2 days ago on Monday. Yerwada Jail is for
prisoners & includes provisions for their implementation. The CM admitted
that the secret was kept on running Kasab as they did not compromise the
security situation in any way.
The sources said that Kasab has provided all
information before signing & jail manual was followed. When asked for his
last wish & if he had a will, Kasab said no. Yerwada jail sources said that
the High Court had been asked to inform the family of Kasab.
Ajmal Kasab was a soldier in a chain that
crosses the venal terrorist training camps on the outskirts of the big cities
of Pak links with militants in Pak-occupied Kashmir & ends at GHQ
Rawalpindi.
The sanction of terror comes from the highest
level.
If it does not, Hafiz Saeed would not be
allowed to spread his poison openly, barely disguising the Jamaat-ud-Dawa as
charity. Without money, weapons, training & punishment from the creation of
Pak, 26th November would have been impossible to execute.
26th November was a defining moment. Until
then, the Pak Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) & military had followed a
policy of low intensity terrorism by proxy. The attack against the parliament
was an exception. Most terrorist plots aimed at the trains, buses & markets
- the poor have suffered the most & their cases were quickly forgotten.
26th November changed all that. Kasab was
captured, imprisoned, tried & executed in large part because of the bravery
of some policemen Mumbai, particularly Tukaram Ombale who died while stopping
near Girgaum Chowpatty, south Mumbai, while trying to escape in a hijacked
Skoda car.
The three days that Kasab & 9 other Paki
terrorists held Mumbai hostage have left a scar on the city. Kasab execution
will not heal completely until the men who trained, financed him, indoctrinated
& mentor him brought to justice.
What is the point of hanging Kasab mean?
Consider the context. Firstly, it comes on the heels of the sudden cancellation
of the planned trip Pak Interior Minister Rehman Malik in India this week.
Second, it was preceded by an unusually
strong statement by the PPM & the PPM Manmohan Singh will not visit Pak in
the near future as progress on the perpetrators of 26th November the book was
unsatisfactory.
3rd, it is the fastest decision to reject an
application for pardon by President of India. Pranab Mukherjee has 19 mercy
pleas of others before him, 300 detainees are currently in the corridor of
death. In the office of just four months, the president has shown firmness
Mukherjee absent from its predecessor.
Pak has been informed of the hanging Kasab in
advance by letter or fax. The High Commission in New Delhi reluctantly agreed
communication that Pak has long been recognized Kasab was one of its citizens.
This claim continues denial is exactly what it seems - pretense. Pak’s military
establishment is deeply complicit with the terrorists of the Lashkar-e-Toiba
(LeT) & the JuD.
As David Coleman Headley (original name Daood
Sayed Gilani) & others have testified, the senior officers of the Pak Army &
the ISI were directly involved in the training, funding & mentoring for
terrorist attacks in India .
The intensity & frequency of these
attacks have decreased since the 26th November for 2 reasons.
One, the U.S. war against Al-Qaeda has
established important Paki military resources & the attention of North
India & South Waziristan. Attacks against military targets in Pak
Tehreek-e-Taliban, which is hostile to the Paki establishment (unlike the
Haqqani & Hekmatyar ne2rks that support Rawalpindi) also have the
distraction Islamabad.
2 intense United States (& more recently
Saudi) diplomatic pressure on Pak led to the expulsion of terrorist fugitives
as Abu Mohammad Fasih Jundal & Riyadh. Until last year, Pak has relied on
Saudi Arabia as a source of funds & a haven for terrorists. But with the
change sweeping West Asia, Wahhabi monarchy of Saudi Arabia is under pressure.
The protests in Bahrain neighbor (who has a
Shiite majority) were suppressed with the help of the Saudi army. More protests
against the dictatorial monarchies broke in the last days in Jordan, until
recently, a relatively stable Hashemite kingdom.
Wedged between the Saudis & the Americans
suddenly chastened relentless - 2 ancient pillars of support - the options have
narrowed Pak terrorists.
India growing influence of economic, military
& diplomatic now present in New Delhi with the ability to cauterize the
terrorist threat from Pak to the source - Rawalpindi GHQ - when India-centric,
Scotch-Swilling Paki generals still harbor ill will on Bangladesh & Kargil &
entertain atavistic notions legendary Pak’s ability to put pressure on India
with the old tactics of terrorism by proxy.
Unfortunately, while the educated Pakis form
a constituency size for peace in India, most ordinary Pakis continue to be fed
a diet of anti-India propag&a. Misinformation starts school with textbooks
spreading poison India. Rising politicians like Imran Khan bow to populism
harping on Kashmir & the treatment of medieval Taliban gloves.
Former dictators like Pervez Musharraf, the
"butcher of Kargil" are discredited everywhere except in India where
he finds a ready audience for his solutions to the Kashmir problem, including
"demilitarization" & the disarmament of the Indian security
forces. He did not add that, first; Pak funded by terrorists should be unarmed
or have a free run of J & K.
Musharraf also raises the old myth of 1948-vintage
UN resolutions on J & K when he knows perfectly well that these resolutions
are not valid because they were conditional on canceling the Pak occupied
Kashmir to Pak
"Kasab was calm before the
execution"
Minutes before his execution, Kasab appeared
to be nervous, but was silent prayers & offered a prison official said.
A file picture of Ajmal Kasab, the only
surviving Paki gunman involved in the Mumbai attacks.
"From his body language, it could be
noted that he was very nervous. However, he remained calm before he was taken
from his cell for hanging, "the official said.
Kasab also offered prayers & asked if his
family was informed in advance of hanging that prison authorities have
responded in the affirmative, the official said.
"I swear by God, will do no such thing
(Allah Kasam aisi galti nahi Dubara karunga)," were the last words uttered
by him.
Kasab end came five days before the fourth
anniversary of the brutal terrorist attacks that have killed & injured
166,300 people. 9 of its employees, who have infiltrated into Mumbai carnage
for three days, were secretly buried in the city in January 2010.
Hanging also comes a day before the winter
session of Parliament & weeks ahead of Gujarat assembly election in
December.
"Tell my Ammi," was the message
conveyed by Kasab, who was hanged on Wednesday, when he was told about his Nov.
21 execution, an official source.
Nooree Lai, Kasab's mother, was apparently
the person closest to him that he pronounced her name when asked about his last
wish, according to the same sources.
After the formalities, Interior Minister RK
Singh wrote to the Foreign Secretary Rajan Mathai informed Kasab's mother &
other family members who are in Pak.
As a result, the authority, the Indian High
Commission in Islamabad, has sent a letter to his mother by post on Tuesday,
fulfilling his last wish, the sources said.
Union Minister of Interior stated that a
letter was sent to the Commission of Pak in New Delhi, informing them of the
decision to suspend Kasab. When the letter was not accepted, one was faxed to
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pak. But there was no answer.
Kasab - who was just 21 years old when he led
the brutal attack - was sentenced to death four counts & sentenced to imprisonment
for five counts of charges, including murder, war in India & weapons
possession.
He was initially sentenced to death by a
special trial court on 6 May 2010.
The Bombay High Court upheld the verdict on
February 21st last year, followed by a similar decision by the Supreme Court on
August 29. Finally, the President Mukherjee dismissed his appeal on November
5th mercy.
"It took the Government of Maharashtra
under 2 weeks to hang Kasab, after President Pranab Mukherjee rejected clemency
November 5. I forwarded to Maharashtra Government on November 8, "Interior
Minister Sushilkumar Shinde Union said in New Delhi.
"Pak has been informed, but there is no demand
for the body Kasab," he has said, adding that the whole operation had to
be conducted under secrecy because of the sensitivities involved & all
procedures were followed due.

Of the 56 prisoners hanged in the prison
Yerwada since independence, Ajmal Amir Kasab is youngest. Kasab to hang on
Wednesday came after the gap of 17 years.
The last condemned to be hanged in the prison
of Yerwada was based on Alibaug Sudhakar Joshi, who was hanged August 26, 1995.

had been sentenced in the case of a robbery & triple murder in Mumbai.
In 1988, he flew his employer, who was a
businessman, & killed him & his 2 children. He had confessed to the
crime & session’s court sentenced him to death. The Bombay High Court &
the Supreme Court upheld the verdict.
